Authenticity is about being true to your strengths, displaying your credentials, a level of consistency. Recently I was working with a company with a business model that is built upon partners – partnering with other organisations to generate revenue. This is a large global company and they give a large amount of attention to detail to the partner and customer experience and they are putting a large amount of energy and resources into improving that whole relationship. Unfortunately the people I was working with couldn’t see the big picture. For them it was about improving the relationship to improve revenue, but this is over simplistic and short term.
